A specially curated programme, featuring a trio of pieces inspired by the wonders of the sky, opens with the BBC Philharmonic, under the baton of John StorgÃ¥rds, in Strauss's Also Sprach Zarathustra. Judith Weir's Moon and Star follows, performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Singers and Ryan Wigglesworth. The evening finishes with a debut performance by the Spanish National Orchestra in Ravel's Alborada del gracioso, conducted by David Afkham.
